こんにちは。kazです。
自分の思いを表現するためにPCに向かう毎日ですが、
合間に愛犬の散歩をしています。
日を浴びる、体を動かす、
思考をリセットすると、
集中力がまた高まって作業に戻れます。
家から5分くらいのところに、
のどかな川沿いの遊歩道があります。
住宅街で、新しい家が立ち並んでいて、
ところどころにマンションやアパート、
子ども用の自転車やベビーカーが置いてあったり、
私と同じ世代のファミリーが多く住む街です。
いつも歩いているその道を
愛犬と歩いていて、
ふと、気づきました。
平日の昼２時、
土いじりしているおじいちゃん、おばあちゃん以外
誰もいない。
川の流れる音以外聞こえない。
一軒家はシャッターがしまっている。
え？？？？？
これ、現実の世界？？？？？
なんかソワソワしてきてしまいました。
なんか、わからんけど、こわいこわい。
大きい道に出て、
車通りがあり、自転車を走らせる主婦さんがいて、
やっと落ち着きました。
今まで、
静かでいいな～としか思っていなかったのですが、
よくよく考えてみると、
あれは、異様です。
あんなに住居があって、
人がわんさか住んでいる場所なのに、
物音もしない。
カーテンもシャッターも閉まっている。
みんなどこにいるの？
何をしているの？
働いているのか・・・・・
お日様キラキラいいお天気、
昼過ぎの穏やかな時間、
川の音、
鳥の羽繕い、
梅の鮮やかなピンク、
わーーもったいないーーーーー
こんな素敵な日常があることを知らずに、
私も毎日、長時間、職場で過ごしていました。
いえ、仕事にしがみついていたといっても
過言ではございません。
そこから脱出し、
幾分か苦しみ、
そして、その後、楽になる。
そのプロセスと、感情の変化を記します。
仕事に行けなくなって、内心ホッとしていた？
私はかつて、
散歩する時間があったら、
少しでも仕事を進ませたいって
思う人でした。
働いても働いても、
やることが湧いてくるから、
こなしてこなして、
そうするとまた仕事が
降ってきて降ってきて、
こなしてこなして、
もうキリがないんです。
自分で作った悪循環に、
自分で溺れて、
息ができなくなって、
それでも頑張ろうとしたけど、
死にそうになった、
それで
負のループから抜け出ました。
強制退場でした。
でも、私が抜けたら、
あの湧いてくる仕事、
誰がこなせるだろう・・・
引継ぎもちゃんとできなかったし、
私が戻るしかない、
でも戻れない・・・
仕方なく外から見ていたけど、
あれ？
私がいなくても、
どうやら仕事は回ってる。
あれれ？
私いなくてもいいんじゃん。
あの必死にやってた時間と労力、
何だったんだろう・・・
悔しい。
悲しい。
自分なんていなくてもいいんだ。
頑張りすぎていた自分、
空回りしてた自分、
所属することで存在意義を保っていた自分、
最初はそんな自分を認めたくなかったけど、
胸が張り裂けそうな思いを抱えていた時もあったけど、
不思議と、
ホッとしていたんです。
そう、
本当はそんな負のループから
抜けたかった。
そこにいないと
自分が保てないと思っていたけど、
でも、生きてる。
ホッとしてる。
私は
教師の仕事をやめたかった！！！
向いていないと思っていた！！！
子どもたちの成長も大事だけど
まず自分の幸せを獲得したかった！！！
楽になりたかったーーー！！！！！
そう、これが本音。
もちろん、
それに気づいて出せるようになるまで
長い長い道のりがありましたが・・・
心からの叫びに気づいて、
それを認められたら、
本当～に楽〜になりました。
「言ってはいけない」ことを言えば、楽になる
１回認めたらね、
どんな自分もOKにできるようになりました。
我が子の育児、かなり苦手～ とか
子どもとの時間より、
自分のやりたいこと実現したい～ とか
世間一般で認められないようなことを
「言ってはいけない」
と思っていたんです。
そうやって、
やりたくないのに無理をして、
疲れてイライラしての繰り返し。
一瞬痛みを伴うけど、
ちょっと勇気出して
やりたくないことをやめてみたら、
ぜんっぜん違う景色が見えてきました。
お日様がキラキラ～ とか
川の音が～ とか
お花が～ 虫さんが～ とか。笑
あれだけタスクこなし人間だったのに。
常識とか当たり前に、
つまり、
他人の価値観に縛られていた自分に気づいて、
本当の自分の目で見た景色に変わります。
なぜ、「言ってはいけない」って
思ってしまっていたんでしょう？
言ってしまったら、
変な目で見られるから？
仲間外れにされるから？
母親失格・教師失格になるから？
クビになるから？
そんなふうになったら、
確かに、いやですね。
そんなことに怯えながら仕事したくない。
だったら、そうならないように、
無理してがんばり続けた方がいいかな？
やりたくないなんて思ってしまう
ダメな自分は隠して、
それがバレないように防御して、
怯えて過ごすか。
え、どっちにしろ
怯えてるんじゃん！？
そう、結局、
無理して自分を隠していたら、
怯える人生から逃れられないみたい。
私は、ありがたいことに
うつになって仕事を休むことになって、
ダメな自分を認めざるを得なかった。
みんなができていることを
できない自分なんて、
なかなか認められなかったけど、
しばらく休むように言われた。
もう仕方ない。
「わかりました、休みをとります」
チーン
死んだ って当時は思ったけど、
そっから私の人生は始まった。
ずーーーっと言いたくても
言えなかったことを言って、
無理してたことをやめて、
それでも生きてるし、
生きていればいいこともあって、
誰かと繋がっていて、
世界は何も変わってない。
むしろ
変なプライド手放して、
カッコ悪い自分が出てしまっても、
意外と自分って悪くない。
いや、いい感じ！
どんどん自分に自信が持てるようになりました。
ダメって思ってるのは
結局自分だけってこと。
で、
自分を防御していい人ぶっていると、
それにエネルギーとられて、
自分の良さも出せないってことにも気づきました。
防御をやめればやめるほど、
良さを出すことにエネルギーを使える。
そして、良さがどんどん出てくると、
隠れた才能までぴょこって顔を出す。
実は才能って、
ダメだと思って隠している自分、
そこに紛れていることが多いんです。
他と違うから「才能」なわけですもんね。
だから、人生変えたければ、
無理していることをやめる！
意地はってないで、
かっこいい自分なんて諦めて、
勇気をもってやめてみる。
そこからです。
結局仕事辞めろってこと？？
なんか、読み直したら、
仕事を辞めなさいって
言っているような記事の仕上がりに・・・
まあ、でも言いたいことは
そんなようなことです・・・
もうすぐ夫も退職。
収入も職場環境も恵まれているのに、
辞めることに決めました。
そして田舎に移住します。
収入よりも、
新しい景色を家族で見ることを選びました。
いつも言われます、旦那さんまでよく決断できたねって。
それは、ガチガチ現実保守派の私が、ここまで変わったから、
夫も「大丈夫だろう」と思ってくれたのかな。
有限な人生だもん、
死ぬときに、やり切った！って思いたい！
無理してやっていることがあるとしたら、
それは、やらなくても死なないから。生きてるから。
私が身をもって体験したので、大丈夫。
どうせなら、
やりたいことをやる人生を、
どうぞ選んでください。
いつでも誰でも、
何にでもなれるし、
何でもできます。
やるか、やらないか、それだけ。
さてさて、どんな人生にしようかなー。
